The first thing of Ulm you will see is the Ulmer Münster, the cathedral with the world's highest steeple – 161.5 meters! You can climb up to 141 metres and you will be rewarded by an amazing view over Ulm and the region, and on clear days, it is even possible to see the Alps.

But that's not all Ulm has to offer:
The historical Fishermen's quarter with its picturesque half-timbered houses, romantic and quaint little bridges and alleyways and its medieval touch, situated on the mouth of the rivers Danube and Blau, is one of the favourite walks of all visitors. It offers something for every taste: Galleries, small shops, restaurants, cafés ...
The colourful town hall (14th c.) and the old warehouses (15th/16th century) spread over the old part of the city are evidence of the pride and wealth of the medieval city.
The provocative and exciting contrast between old and modern architecture, for example the beautifully painted town hall next to the glass pyramide housing the new municipal library, or the Ulmer Münster next to the "Stadthaus" designed by the New York architect Richard Meier.
Museums like the "Ulmer Museum" with changing art exhibitions, the Art Gallery Weishaupt, the Museum of Bread Culture or the Edwin-Scharff-Museum (Neu-Ulm).
The beautiful location of Ulm/Neu-Ulm right next to the Danube and its parcs are ideal for nice walks, sport activities or just to relax and to laze around.
To spend your evenings or nights, you will find many pubs and beer gardens, student life, concerts, discotheques and numerous cultural events.
